Students will gain entry-level employment skills and hands-on experience including instruction and course work in:
Professionalism within the Dental Office (Both classes)
General Chair-side Assisting
Instruments and their use
Overview of Dentition (Both Classes)
Oral Health Care Instructions (Both Classes)
Working with Dental Impression Materials
Dental Terminology (Both classes)
Sterilization and Infection Control
Preparation of the patient for treatment,
Chart documentation (Both Classes)
Introduction to Dental Specialties (Both Classes)
School supplies all class supplies, dental scrubs
And much more!
Reception students will study customer service, patient intake and retention, phone triage, CDT billing codes, charting, patient retention and much more.
In addition, our weekly syllabus and training aids will help guide you through your textbook and workbook assignments to be prepared for your weekly tests and hands-on training. You will complete our Aids/HIV training, OSHA training and CPR/Bloodborne Pathogens program. We will submit and pay for your initial Dental Assistant Registration to the State of Washington. Your registration cards are usually mailed to you by the end of the session. (Both Classes when appropriate)
Upon completing this class you will have the skills and the confidence to apply for entry-level dental assistant or reception/billing positions with the dental specialty of your choice. Employers know that when you are hired, they can expedite your training into the perfect employee for their team.

Central Washington School of Dental Assisting (CWSDA) is North Central Washington’s newest vocational dental assistant training program and was established to provide an affordable vocational education for those individuals wishing to pursue a successful career as a dental assistant.
