 Entry-level Dental Assisting

Class:  Entry-level Dental Assisting

11-Week class: Dental Assisting - Saturdays 

  • Winter Class:  January 8 2022 - March 11-12, 2022

  • Spring Class:  March 19, 2022 - May 20-21, 2022

  • Summer Class: June 25, 2022 - August 26-27, 2022

  • Fall Class:  September 17, 2022 - November 18-19, 2022

Students will gain entry-level employment skills and hands-on experience including instruction and course work in:

  • ​Professionalism within the Dental Office 

  • General Chair-side Assisting

  • Instruments and their use

  • Overview of Dentition 

  • Oral Health Care Instructions 

  • Working with Dental Impression Materials

  • Dental Terminology 

  • Sterilization and Infection Control

  • Preparation of the patient for treatment,

  • Digital X-ray

  • Chart documentation  

  • Introduction to Dental Specialties 

  • School supplies all class supplies, dental scrubs

  • And much more!

In addition, our weekly syllabus and training aids will help guide you through your textbook and workbook assignments to be prepared for your weekly tests and hands-on training.  You will complete our  OSHA and CPR/Bloodborne Pathogens program.  We will submit and pay for your initial Dental Assistant Registration to the State of Washington. Your registration cards are usually mailed to you by the end of the session. 

Upon completing this class you will have the skills and the confidence to apply for entry-level dental assistant  positions with the dental specialty of your choice. Employers know that when you are hired, they can expedite your training into the perfect employee for their team.

Central Washington School of Dental Assisting (CWSDA) is North Central Washington’s newest vocational dental assistant training program and was established to provide an affordable vocational education for those individuals wishing to pursue a successful career as a dental assistant.
